KEWL stands for Knowledge Environment for Web - based Learning. This software is homegrown at UWC, and developed by IOI Online Services as a product of four years of research into online educational practice by Prof Derek Keats and a team of staff and students.

It was initiated as a funded project and it soon became apparent that KEWL could serve the online  learning needs of UWC and NetTel. A number of courses are now run either fully online using KEWL, or use KEWL to supplement traditional teaching and learning.

At the bottom of the page, you will see some buttons. Clicking these buttons will take you to those areas in KEWL that are working as of now. Passing the mouse cursor over the buttons will tell you what each button does. These buttons will appear on every page on every course created inside KEWL. We hope that you will find this software powerful, yet extremely easy to use. Please feel free to send us your comments, suggestions, complaints, whatever.
