Getting Registered

When you follow the link to NetTel’s KEWL site, you will see a window like the one below:

If you already have a Username and Password, enter each in their respective boxes and click the “Login” button. If you do NOT have a Username and Password, click the link titled “register yourself” (see red arrow above). You will be taken to a window that looks like the one to the right. To properly complete this registration form, please follow the following directions:

Step 1

Click the link titled “Generate you own user ID Number”. A new window will open detailing your ID number. Click the link titled “ I am a guest, and I do not have a UWC staff or student number.” The window with the ID number will close and your new ID number will automatically appear in the Step 1 box. Below is an example of the ID generation window. Unless you already have a UWC ID number, click the right link (see red arrow).

Step 2

Enter your title from the dropdown menu, then enter your First Name and Last Name.

Step 3

Choose a Username that you can remember. Please note that usernames CANNOT contain spaces. Enter your username in the box and write the name down in a place where you can find it in case you forget.

Step 4

Enter your email address in the first box and then enter it again in the second box. Your password will automatically be created and emailed to this address, so make sure you enter your email address correctly!

Step 5

Choose your university name from the dropdown menu. If you can not find your university’s name, select the “other” category (see red arrow below).

Step 6

You’re done, click the button titled “Register me now”. You will receive a confirmation of the registration process and a temporary password will be immediately sent to your email address provided in Step 4.

Above is an example of the confirmation you’ll get once you’ve successfully registered. After checking your email and retrieving your temporary password, return to NetTel’s KEWL site login page and enter your Username and Password, click the “Login”.

Upon your first login, KEWL will offer you the opportunity to change your password to an easy-to-remember word. Below is an example of this window. Please note that passwords CANNOT contain any spaces. You can change your password at a later time.
