Chapter Learning Outcomes
At the end of this chapter, the learner will have knowledge on the financial reporting required for the internal and external users and how policy and regulatory issues affect the numbers presented in financial statements. The students will learn how the financial statements are prepared and what constitutes the financial statements.
Important things to note in this chapter are that the regulators should have at least a basic knowledge on how the financial statements are prepared by the companies. This is important since financial statements can have different forms depending upon who is using the financial statements. Policy and regulations do affect the results presented in financial statements.
