Regulation Should Correspond with National Goals and Policies

Social, political, technical and economic issues will always shape regulation in different degrees during different times. Regulation is inherently a cross - disciplinary function and field of study, requiring the services of accountants, engineers, lawyers, policy specialists, economists, lawyers and business administrators. Accountants to manage pricing and cost issues, engineers to manage technical issues, policy specialists to manage the regulatory processes, economists to facilitate market structuring, lawyers to manage legislation and business administrators to shape the management of the sector and provide general leadership within the regulatory environment. Having explained the roles of the different professional groups it is critical that they work to together to meet the demands of this very challenging sector.
